Ethel came into rescue after her previous owners had given up on her and she was facing euthanasia. Thankfully, she is now safe with us and getting the chance she deserves.

Don’t let her size or breed fool you! Ethel is an incredibly drivey little girl with an extremely high prey drive. She needs someone who understands her genetics and can channel her drive appropriately.

Ethel does have some reactivity towards other dogs, which we are actively working on in rescue. We would only consider a multi-dog household with a highly experienced handler who understands these behaviours and is committed to continuing her training.

Ethel is an amazing girl, but she isn’t a dog you can be overly hands-on with. She needs her boundaries respected and will voice her opinion if something makes her uncomfortable.

Due to her sensitivity around people leaning over her, Ethel will only be rehomed to an adult-only home. We understand that dogs can make mistakes, and we will not take that risk with a child.

Ideally, Ethel needs a rural home with someone who understands her needs, respects her boundaries and is willing to continue the work we have started.

Ethel deserves someone who sees beyond the cute Frenchie exterior and understands the dog she really is.
