Christmas Charity Pack Walk

Join us at Canine Welfare Fund, alongside VIRIDIANK9S, for our Christmas Charity Pack Walk a festive day bringing together dogs and dog lovers while raising vital funds to support rescue dogs in need.

Whether you’re joining us with your own dog, coming along without one, or hoping to walk one of our rescue dogs, we’d love to welcome you for a fun and festive day while supporting a cause that means so much to us.

What Are We Doing?

We’ll start the day with a neutral group pack walk, with appropriate space maintained between dogs throughout.

This is not a dog socialisation or free-play event. Our aim is to create a calm and respectful environment where dogs with different needs can take part comfortably.

Once we return from the walk, the festive fun begins with our Christmas Fancy Dress Competition for the dogs, with a prize for the winner!

Afterwards, everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy food and drinks at the dog-friendly café. Toilets are also available at the location.

The event will also be photographed by KMK9VISUALS, capturing some special memories from our Christmas walk.

Don’t Have a Dog?

You’re still very welcome!

If you don’t have a dog of your own, or you feel your own dog would find the event too overwhelming, we may have a rescue dog available for you to handle and walk for the day.

Please let us know when booking if you would like to walk one of our rescue dogs so we can arrange a suitable match where possible.

Important Information

The welfare and safety of all dogs attending is extremely important to us.

All dogs must remain on lead throughout the event and should be muzzled where appropriate.

This is a neutral pack walk, not a dog socialisation or free-play event. Please do not allow your dog to approach another dog without permission, and always leave plenty of space between dogs.

Some dogs attending may be reactive, nervous, in training or not dog friendly, so we ask everyone to be respectful and considerate of each dog’s individual needs.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy or waterproof footwear, and bring anything your dog may need for the duration of the event.

Places are £20 per person and payment must be made in advance to secure your booking.

This is important so that we can identify your payment and match it to your booking.

Once you have completed the booking form and made payment, please send us a screenshot or confirmation of your payment so we can verify your place.

Your place is not confirmed until both your booking and payment have been received and verified by Canine Welfare Fund.

Funds raised through the event will help Canine Welfare Fund support rescue dogs in need and continue the work we do for the dogs in our care.

Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

Please make sure you are able to attend before booking your place.

As this is a charity fundraising event, all payments are non-refundable.

If you are no longer able to attend for any reason, your payment will remain with Canine Welfare Fund as a charitable donation and will continue to help support the rescue dogs in our care.

If you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Where possible and agreed with us in advance, we may allow your place to be transferred to another person.

Weather, Cancellation or Postponement

As this is a December outdoor event, the walk is expected to go ahead in normal seasonal weather, including cold or wet conditions. Please come appropriately dressed and prepared.

However, the safety and welfare of our dogs, attendees and volunteers will always come first. If circumstances mean the event cannot safely go ahead, Canine Welfare Fund reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate or make reasonable changes to the event.

As this is a charitable fundraising event, payments are non-refundable and will remain as donations to Canine Welfare Fund, including if the event has to be cancelled or postponed.

We cannot be responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs incurred in connection with attending the event.

By completing the booking and making payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted the event information and our booking, cancellation and no-refund policy.
