Meet Ty

Staffy Mix | 6 to 8 Years Old | Will Be Neutered & Fully Vaccinated Before Adoption | Cannot Be Rehomed in London

Ty is estimated to be between 6 and 8 years old, but don’t let his age fool you because he is still a very spritely boy with plenty of personality.

Ty came into rescue from the pound, where he had served his seven days and sadly found himself at risk of being euthanised. After what we believe has been a very tough start to life, Ty is now safe with us and looking for a special home where he can finally enjoy the life he deserves.

The Home Ty Needs

Ty is looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can enjoy the rest of his senior years surrounded by comfort and love.

He doesn’t ask for much. A potter around the garden, a nice walk, a comfortable sofa to nap on and someone to share the occasional slice of ham with would make him a very happy boy!

Ty can initially take some time to build trust, but once you’re one of his people, you’ll certainly know about it. When he feels safe and comfortable with you, he is an incredibly loving and affectionate boy who will happily climb up on the sofa for some love.

Ty cannot be rehomed with young children due to his size and his need for a quieter environment. We would consider a home with older, dog-savvy children or an adult-only home.

Ty cannot be rehomed within London.

Other Dogs & Animals

Although Ty previously spent much of his life living alongside a female dog, we feel he would be happiest as the only dog in his new home.

Ty is not particularly comfortable around male dogs and also values having his own space. For this reason, we feel a single-dog household will give him the relaxed environment he needs.

Ty cannot live with cats as he does have a prey drive.

Walks, Training & Home Life

Ty enjoys getting out for his walks and walks nicely on the lead. He doesn’t need a hectic lifestyle and would be perfectly happy with his walks followed by plenty of time relaxing at home.

Ty is both muzzle trained and crate trained. His crate is particularly important to him as it is his safe space where he can switch off, relax and have some time to himself.

We would therefore like his new family to continue using his crate positively and ensure he always has access to a quiet space where he can retreat when he needs to.

Ty’s Personality

Ty really is a fun-loving, affectionate older boy who deserves the chance to finally experience stability and security.

He loves his people deeply once he trusts them and is happiest enjoying the simple things in life. He doesn’t need endless adventures or a busy household. He needs someone who will appreciate him for exactly who he is and give him the peaceful life he deserves.

And if you happen to have a slice of ham available, you may find yourself with a new best friend very quickly!

After everything Ty has been through, we want his next home to be his forever home. Somewhere he can potter around the garden, enjoy his walks, curl up on the sofa and finally know that he is safe and loved.
