Bruno is a 1 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is full of life, character, and enthusiasm. He is the life and soul of every party and is looking for a home that can match his energy and commitment to ongoing training.

Bruno must be rehomed to an active home. He is a young, energetic dog with a massive spring in his step and will need plenty of daily exercise, enrichment, and mental stimulation to help him thrive. He is not suited to a sedentary lifestyle and would be happiest with adopters who enjoy an active routine and can provide him with the time, structure, and engagement he needs.

Bruno will need a confident and consistent handler who can provide clear boundaries and continue the excellent work that has already been put into his training. He is a clever boy who responds well to guidance and structure.

Bruno originally came into rescue due to some behavioural challenges, primarily barrier frustration and mild reactivity. Since being in foster care, his foster has done an outstanding job with him, putting in a huge amount of time and dedication to his training. As a result, Bruno has made fantastic progress and is doing incredibly well. While his adopters will need to continue supporting him, he has shown just how capable he is of learning and succeeding in the right environment.

Bruno is also muzzle trained and is comfortable wearing his muzzle when required, which is a valuable skill for any dog to have.

Bruno could live with another dog, ideally a spayed female with a similar energy level. Any resident dogs would need to meet Bruno beforehand, and formal introductions would be required. He could also live happily as the only dog in the home.

As a young dog, Bruno will benefit from continued training and guidance to help him become the best companion he can be.

A must for Bruno’s new home is the use of a crate for downtime and rest periods. Bruno settles very well in his crate and sees it as his safe space. He absolutely loves having a blanket in there or five. You’ll often find him happily curled up amongst a pile of cosy blankets enjoying a well earned nap after his adventures.

Bruno is also fully house trained and has excellent house manners when his exercise and enrichment needs are being met.
